1. Who we are

These terms apply when you buy from locean.co.uk. By placing an order you agree to them. Nothing in these terms removes or limits your statutory rights as a consumer.

2. The product

We sell the L’OCÉAN Perfection Make-up Base, a CC cream manufactured by L’OCEAN Cosmetics Co., Ltd in the Republic of Korea. It is a cosmetic product, not a medicine. It is not intended to diagnose, treat or prevent any medical condition.

Product images are shown as accurately as we can manage, but screens vary and the finish on skin depends on your own tone. The ingredient list published on our site is taken from the carton; always read the pack you receive, as manufacturers can reformulate.

3. Orders

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we send you an order confirmation email. If we cannot fulfil an order — because of a stock or pricing error, or because we cannot deliver to your address — we will tell you and refund you in full.

Checkout is operated by Stripe. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and are never transmitted to or stored on our systems.

4. Price and payment

Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. The total payable, including any delivery charge, is shown before you confirm payment. There are no hidden charges added afterwards.

If we discover an obvious pricing error before dispatch, we will contact you and you may confirm the order at the correct price or cancel it for a full refund.

5. Delivery

We deliver to addresses in the United Kingdom. Delivery is charged at a flat £4.95 per order and sent by Royal Mail Tracked 24. Orders placed before 14:00 on a working day are dispatched the same day; later orders go out the next working day. Tracked 24 aims to deliver the next working day after dispatch, but this is an aim rather than a guarantee. If we have not delivered within 30 days you may cancel and receive a full refund.

If we have not delivered within 30 days of the contract, you may treat the contract as at an end and receive a full refund. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.

6. Cancellation, returns and faults

Your 14-day right to cancel, the return procedure and your rights if a product is faulty are set out in full in our Returns & Refunds policy, which forms part of these terms.

7. Using the product

Please read the pack and the safety guidance on our site before use. Patch test if your skin is reactive. Stop use and seek advice if irritation occurs. SPF performance depends on applying a sufficient, even layer and reapplying — see the guidance on our home page.

8. Our liability

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill.

We do not exclude or limit our liability in any way where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for breach of your legal rights in relation to the products, and under the Consumer Protection Act 1987.

We are not liable for business losses. We supply products for domestic and private use only.

9. Intellectual property

The text, photography and design of this website belong to us or our licensors and may not be reproduced without permission. The L’OCÉAN name and product imagery belong to L’OCEAN Cosmetics Co., Ltd.

10. Your data

How we handle personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it. The date at the top shows when this version took effect.

12. Complaints and governing law

If something is wrong, email loceanuk@gmail.com and we will give a final response within 14 days. Free independent advice is available from the Citizens Advice consumer service.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your own courts.
